In India vs West Indies Test match, Ishan Kishan was caught behind the stumps, and his conversation with Shubman Gill perhaps took the cake. The first Test of the two-match series between India and West Indies is currently in progress at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica.
The visitors had a commanding lead of 162 runs, at the end of the second day of play, making significant progress in the game. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kishan received their maiden Red ball caps, giving India two new debutants. The West Indies bowlers failed to pick up wickets, paving the way for India to smoothly score runs, and by the end of stumps, day 2, India was at a whimsical score of 312 for two.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has had a stellar debut, he joined the elite list as the 17th Indian batsman to score a debut test match century. He is currently playing at a score of 143 and still stands unblemished. Ishan Kishan, a second debutant, also performed with the glove. When Kishan replaced KS Bharat as the wicketkeeper, he handled the gloves cleanly on a slow deck. In the innings, he secured 2 extraordinary catches and displayed some phenomenal wicketkeeping skills. Kishan was also seen to be caught behind the stumps and made headlines for his chirpy comments.

In the latest video circulating around social media, he was heard warning Shubman Gill, as per a Hindustan Times report. The incident took place before the start of the 65th over of the West Indies innings. He was heard saying, “Rohit bhai phir gaali denge tereko (Rohit Sharma will abuse you again).”
The wicketkeeper-batsmen was seen to be engaged in humorous banter with Gill which immediately intrigued the fans. In addition to this incident, Ishan was also seen giving Virat Kohli and Jaiswal field placement recommendations and sledging a West Indies batter in another video.
Ishan, who warmed the bench for the WTC 2023 final against Australia and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2023, became India's 307th Test cricketer on Wednesday (July 12). He received his first Test cap from batting great Virat Kohli. His brilliant wicketkeeping has been a significant contribution to the Indian Team but fans are still waiting for him to do wonders with his bat.
