Steve Smith has left Australia and searching residence in New York?

Smith, along with David Warner, has been signed up by different franchises in the Global T20 league

Former Australian captain Steve Smith is all set to feature in the inaugural season of the Global T20 Canada starting from June 27.

His participation in this tournament will mark his comeback on the cricket field after getting slapped with a ban of 12 months from Cricket Australia following the aftermath of ball tampering saga. The incident happened during the Cape Town Test against South Africa, earlier this year.

Ahead of the tournament, Smith was spotted in a New York pub, having beer, all alone. The video was shot by a local who recognised him at the venue. Later, the video was shared by Australia’s leading daily, Herald Sun.

As learned from reports, Smith has left Australia for the time being and looking for a residence in New York's West Village neighbourhood which is known for being one of the hot spots for celebrities. He has been here earlier as her fiancé Dani Willis has been in Manhattan since March this year.

The person who spotted Smith at the pub was left shocked to see him all alone. He said,

“It was an absolute shock to see the former Aussie cricket captain all by himself. He looked quite sad and lonely and it’s a good thing he had his phone otherwise he would have had no contact with anyone,” Herald Sun quoted.

Smith, along with David Warner, has been signed up by different franchises in the Global T20 league but is certainly a great opportunity for them to hit back on the field after a break.
