SL Vs IND: Shikhar Dhawan Set To Create Special Captaincy Record In 1st ODI

India's tour of Sri Lanka will begin next week, with the first ODI on July 18. Captain Shikhar Dhawan will make a special record in this match as soon as he comes down for the toss.

India vs Sri Lanka: The Indian cricket team led by Shikhar Dhawan is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka. Team India has to play three-match ODI series and an equal number of matches in the T20 series during this tour. The tour will start with the first ODI on July 18. As soon as Shikhar Dhawan comes out for the toss in the first ODI on Sunday, he will make a special record. 

Shikhar Dhawan will become the oldest cricketer to captain India as soon as he takes to the field in the first ODI on July 18. Dhawan will be 35 years and 225 days old when he takes to the field in the first ODI against Sri Lanka. He will break the record of Mohinder Amarnath, who led Team India for the first time in 1984. Mohinder Amarnath captained Team India for the first time in 1984 against Pakistan, at the age of 34 years and 37 days.

India's tour of Sri Lanka will start from July 18. 

The ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will start from July 18. The second and third ODI will be played on July 20 and 23. All three matches will be played in Colombo (3 pm IST). 

The ODIs will be followed by the first T20 on July 25. The second and third T20 will be played on July 27 and 29. All the T20 games will commence at 8 pm IST and will be played in Colombo.
