Sarfaraz Khan Shares Pic Of Nets With 'Lakshya' Song After Being Snubbed For India Squad For WI Tour
Sarfaraz Khan was ignored by the selectors despite his consistent performances in the domestic cricket circuit.
There are a limited number of things that a player can focus on. Primarility his job is to perform whenever and wherver the opportunity comes his way. The rest is not directly in his hand. The same holds true for a player's selection in the Indian national team. There are so many players in the history of Indian domestic cricket who performed consistently year after after but couldn't get a call up for the national team despite that. There are others who did get a call up but never got an India cap. Among the current crop of cricketers, Mumbai's Suryakumar Yadav was someone who had to wait patientlty for chance to play for India despite impressing one and all in all the tournaments that he played.
And now it is a test of patience for Mumbai's Sarfaraz Khan who has once again being snubbed by the national selectors for a place in the squad for India's tour of West Indies. Despite scoring heavily in domestic cricket in recent years, Sarfaraz has failed to impress the selectors who have not given him a chance even when was a possibility to fit in a few fresh places. However, seems like Khan is far from being discouraged and has shared a message which suggests that he wants to work hard and focus on his aim.
Taking to Instagram stories, the 25-year-old posted a picture of cricket nets. The picture was accompanied by a motivational song- the title track from the Hritik Roshan starrer Bollywood movie 'Lakshya'.

Meanwhile, the selectors have dropped Cheteshwar Pujara from the squad while deciding to hand Mohammed Shami a rest. Umesh Yadav has also been dropped. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar have received national Call-ups while Navdeep Saini has also been given a place in the side.
