'Pehle Hi 2 Zero Hain...': Rohit Sharma's Interaction With On-Field Umpire Goes Viral- WATCH

IND vs AFG 3rd T20I: Rohit Sharma's interaction with on-field umpire Virender Sharma surfaced on social media, going viral in no time.

Rohit Sharma had a great evening to remember at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as India beat Afghanistan to clinch the three-match series 3-0. It was a cliffhanger of a match that went India's way eventually as the hosts beat Afghanistan in the second super over. Rohit led from the front and scored a sensational hundred, scoring 121* off 69 balls to help India post 212/4 after India were reduced to 22/4 at one stage. Along with Rohit, Rinku Singh also played a significant knock, scoring 69* off 39.

However, even that proved insufficient to grant India a win. Afghanistan managed to level the scores, forcing the match into a super over which also got tied. India eventually ended up beating Afghanistan in the second super over to complete a clean sweep. Rohit had a hit in all the three innings and left a mark in each of them to end a great day on the field.

Having said that, it should be pointed out that it wasn't quite the smooth start for Rohit to begin with. The Indian opener got his first legitimate run off the seventh ball. In a hilarious incident prior to his first legal run, Rohit can be seen interacting with on-field umpire Virender Sharma, inquiring whether he had given the first boundary down the leg side in the first over as leg byes. Rohit points out to him that he had actually hit it, reminding him that he was already coming on the back of a couple of ducks into the third T20I.

"Arey Viru, pehle wala Thigh pad Diya tha kya? Itna bada bat laga hai. Ek toh idhar 2 zero ho gaya hain (Hey Viru (Virender Sharma), did you give the first ball as thigh pad - It clearly touched the bat. I have already dismissed for 0 twice," Rohit can be heard saying in the video.
