Rishabh Pant was amongst the heroes of the Indian Cricket Team that registered the historic victory at the venue back in 2021, as Australia were handed a Test defeat at The Gabba for the first time in 33 years.

On his return to his beloved Gabba, the Indian wicketkeeper batsman reflects on his feelings and his recovery from a pntential career-threatening accident in an on-field interview with Ravi Shastri.

"Definitely. It is an amazing feeling. When I entered the ground, it was buzzing, and I got a positive feeling. Pumped up. Loving to be back here. It gives a positive attitude and confidence in a series where things are level, and it makes you want to do well," said Rishabh Pant.

"Playing the situation has been a big learning and bailing out the team from a hard situation. I think sometimes it is hard. Most of the time, I have to be telling myself to keep things positive in the mindset. There are easy ways to do it but that's where I put my foot down and keep doing the same thing that has given me a lot of success," said the most expensive player in IPL history.

"Generally, I don't practice too much with these scoops and reverse scoops. It is a gameplay according to the bowler. It depends upon the bowler. With the pink ball doing too much, it is difficult to keep defending. My mindset tells me it's safer, I always play percentage cricket," said the T20 World Cup 2024 winner.

"(On accident) It was definitely one of the most challenging parts. But I made sure that with all the doctors, I could be fully fit; I always wanted to keep. I wanted to do so in Test matches. The ball travels much more; that is something to look for. It does a bit off the wicket, but that is part and parcel of the game," he added.
