Renaming It Narendra Modi Stadium Is An Insult To Sardar Patel: Hardik Patel

Gujarat Congress leader Hardik Patel lashes out at the renaming of the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India vs England's 3rd Test match is set to be played at the newly formed stadium in Ahmedabad. The Home Minister of India, Amit Shah announced on Wednesday that the name of the stadium will be renamed to Narendra Modi Stadium. The Stadium which was also known as the Motera Stadium has been renovated recently and the capacity of the new stadium is approximately 1,10,000. 

Congress leader Hardik Patel has expressed his displeasure at the renmaing of the Sardar Patel Stadium to Narendr Modi Stadium. Here is what he said in his tweet:

"The Sardar Patel Cricket Stadium is the world's largest stadium situated in Ahmedabad and has now been renamed as Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, is it not an insult to Sardar Patel? The BJP, which has been seeking votes in the name of Sardar Patel, is now insulting Sardar Saheb. The people of Gujarat will not tolerate this insult of Sardar Patel."
