RCB to bat first; Gayle dropped, De Villiers in
New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first against Kings XI Punjab in Indore.
Surprising everyone, RCB captain Shane Watson announced that Chris Gayle has been dropped from the side in the expense of AB de Villiers. The South African batsman makes a comeback into the side after an injury lay off.
RCB decided not to tinker with their bowling line up which comprises of two foreign recruits – Tymal Mills and Billy Stanlake.
Kings XI on the other hand will look extend their dominance shown in the last game under new captain Glenn Maxwell. They have decided to strengthen their pace department by bringing Varun Aaron in place of left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh
