RCB Batter Will Jacks Hits 5 Sixes In A Row In T20 Blast - WATCH

He achieved the feat by batting against Middlesex leg-spinner Luke Hollman in the 11th over of the first innings.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Will Jacks scripted history by smashing five sixes in England’s T20 Blast tournament for Surrey against Middlesex, emulating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh’s milestone in IPL 2023 by smashing five sixes. He achieved the feat by batting against Middlesex leg-spinner Luke Hollman in the 11th over of the first innings.

The Bangalore-based franchise roped in Jacks for a whopping Rs 3.2 crore but unfortunately, he could not take part in the IPL 2023 due to an injury. The Surrey-based opener finished with  31 runs in the over, only managing a single off the final ball.  Jacks ended up scoring a total of  96 off 44 balls with 7 sixes and also built a stand of 177 runs for the opening wicket with Laurie Evans who also made 85 runs in 37 balls.

"Really happy with this performance," Jacks said after the innings.

"Laurie started and he told me to join in, so I was like why not? I know the ball was in the slot, just missed out. But you got to go for these shots in this format."

Talking about the clash, Middlesex chased down a huge total after losing only 3 wickets and four balls to spare. Skipper Stephen Eskinazi led his team from the front as he made 73 off 39 balls with 1 maximum and 13 fours while Max Holden remained unbeaten on 68 off 35 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours.

“We must have been on one of the longest losing streaks, so to pull out a performance like that is absolute magic,” Middlesex skipper Eskinazi told Sky Sports.

“It’s really special. I think the skill and the talent and determination on show tonight is something that we’ve known in the dressing room we have, but it's really important to show it to the rest of the country.”

Earlier in the recently passed IPL 2023, KKR batter Rinku Singh collected five sixes in the final over of the game against Gujarat Titans off the bowling of Yash Dayal.
