Usama Mir's remarkable spell saw him bag 6 wickets for 40 runs in Multan Sultans' resounding win over Lahore. Usama Mir now holds the record of being the first spinner to achieve a 6-wicket haul in the history of the Pakistan Super League. Notably, Shahid Afridi, who earlier was the record-holder for best bowling figures in PSL by a spinner, had taken 5 wickets for 7 runs during the 2016 PSL season.

Despite a challenging start where Usama Mir conceded 16 runs in the first over, he showcased remarkable resilience and skill to make a significant comeback.

Usama Mir's six-wicket haul in yesterday's PSL match overall ranks as the fourth best for bowlers in PSL history. Ravi Bopara (6 wickets for 16 runs against Lahore Qalandars in 2016) currently holds the record for the best bowling figures in PSL.

Best bowling figures in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history: Ravi Bopara (6/16), Faheem Ashraf (6/19), Umar Gul (6/24), Usama Mir (6/40), Shaheen Afridi (5/4), Shahid Afridi (5/7)

Table-toppers Multan Sultans further solidified their position in PSL Points Table with their recent win over Lahore. On the other hand, defending champions Lahore Qalandars find themselves at the bottom of PSL standings, having suffered six losses from six matches played so far in the ongoing tournament.
