Indian cricketer Mukesh Kumar received approval from the BCCI for leave during the India vs Australia 3rd T20I as he attended his wedding in Gorakhpur. A video surfaced on social media showing Mukesh dancing to the Bhojpuri song 'Lolipop Lagelu' with bride Divya Singh at his wedding, captivating fans and making the video viral.

Mukesh Kumar's haldi ceremony dance with his fiancée became a sensation online. The traditional event featured Mukesh and Divya dancing joyously to a Bhojpuri song, earning widespread praise and well-wishes from fans nationwide. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Mukesh, in a sherwani, showcased his dance moves during the haldi ceremony. His bride joined in, creating a celebratory atmosphere amongst those who looked like close family and friends.

The 30-year-old bowler, recognized for his economical bowling and mastery of yorkers, exhibited a different kind of talent during the ceremony, earning admiration for his dancing prowess. Amidst his wedding preparations, Mukesh took a break from cricket, obtaining approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before the third T20I in Guwahati. As a replacement, Deepak Chahar was called up to join the squad.

Mukesh's performance in the T20I series has seen ups and downs. While he delivered an economical spell in the first match, conceding only 29 runs in four overs, the second T20I was less favourable, with him conceding 49 runs. Despite this, his impressive bowling style has made an impact, and anticipation surrounds his return for the fourth T20I in Raipur.

Mukesh Kumar, to date, has played for the Indian cricket team in seven T20Is, three ODIs, and one Test match. The 30-year-old cricketer earned his debut for India during the Test series in the West Indies earlier in the current year. His inclusion in the national team came as a recognition of his exceptional bowling skills showcased in first-class cricket, where he has claimed a total of 151 wickets in 40 matches.
