In a story posted on his official Instagram handle, the Indian fast bowler criticised India's regressive mindset, highlighting the issues of women's safety and the deep-rooted patriarchy in society that have come to the forefront amidst the ongoing protests.
He posted a template on his Instagram story that highlights how people in India often blame women after every sexual assault. Siraj shared a collage of news headlines about rape incidents with caption, "What's you excuse this time or is it still her fault, because men will be men, right?"

Whil Chahal posted the same story template on his Instagram story as Siraj, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer expressed his distress over the horrific incident and demanded justice. He wrote, "On all these years, nothing has changed. Absolutely devastated by the barbaric incident and with everything that has transpired since. It is crucial that each and every one of the perpetrators are held accountable and severely punished. We want justice.”
Siraj To Feature In Duleep Trophy Starting September 5
Siraj, who was part of India's squad againsty Sri Lanka for T20Is and ODIs, is set to return to the cricket field in the upcoming Duleep Trophy tournament starting from September 5, where many big names of the Indian cricket will participate ahead of the Bangladesh Tests. He will represent India B against Team A in the first match of the tournament, under the leadership of Abhimanyu Easwaran.
