The 33-year-old received a standing ovation on his way back into the dugout at Lunch, Day 3, as fans in attendance were witnessing sheer greatness before their very eyes.

Joe Root Scores 35th Test Ton; Overtakes Four Legends In The Process

Joe Root broke another record on Day 3, as he scored his 35th Test century to go up to 6th in the list of most Test centuries. The feat was attained during the 63rd over, as he reverse-sweeped Abrar Ahmed towards the backward point and raised his bat to acknowledge the applause.

Not only this, as he remains unbeaten and nears his 150, Joe Root has also become the first-ever cricketer to amass 5,000 runs in World Test Championship.
