'Is Alex Hales' Career Done?' — England Batter's Woes Continue With Yet Another Cheap Dismissal

A memorable career of Alex Hales might see its end soon enough, as his sluggish form and woeful shot selection woes continue. Read below.

Alex Hales, a name that struck fear in the minds of bowlers whenever he came out to bat, a name that guaranteed sixes and entertainment right from the word go, a name... that is now seeing the last stages of its career, as the English batter is on a horrid run with the bat from past 12 months. During his latest innings, the English batter gave away his wicket in a crucial situation, as his shot selection remained questionable seeing the need of the hour.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws are already languishing at the bottom of the table in their group, and endured yet another humiliating defeat at the hands of Lancashire on Sunday, and with the loss, they have registered their fifth consecutive loss. In times of adversity, senior figures are expected to guide the side out of trouble, but Alex Hales seems to be fighting his own personal woes, as the 35-year old stretches his run to 16 matches without a half-century.

Alex Hales' Dismal Numbers From Past 12 Months

Alex Hales, since February 2023, has played in 11 different tournaments, and across the tournaments, he managed to bat 80 times, but registered merely 8 half-centuries and a solitary century. His bad run of form ended up resulting in him being out of favour from the national team set-up, before he announced his international retirement in 2023.
