Hyderabad: Trashing all reports of Mustafizur Rahman missing IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody said that the left-arm seamer is fit and will join the squad on April 7 after finishing national duties.

“We are expecting him to be here on (April) 7th. Unless, we hear differently from BCB, we will continue to expect him," said Moody.

The Bangladesh ace, who played an important role for the defending champions in last year’s edition is currently busy playing a One Day series against Sri Lanka.

Amidst all the injury woes, there were reports that ‘The Fiz’ will also opt out of IPL due to injury and fatigue.

But Moody was quick to point that he has not received any official confirmation regarding Rahman’s injury and the franchise expects the youngster to bolster the pace battery for the second successive season.

However, it is certain that Rahman will miss the inaugural match of IPL 10, which is between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 5

According to Moody, there's no pressure being defending champions.

"To me, it's not just another chapter, actually another book. So, I am not concerned about last year of anything. Just proud of what the players achieved last year," he told reporters.
