IPL 2020: DC Seamer Rabada Dethrones KXIP Speedster Shami As Purple Cap Holder, Attains Unique Wicket-Taking Record

Rabada also dethroned KXIP seamer Mohammad Shami as the Purple Cap holder with the most wickets in the tournament. The South African seamer has 7 wickets from 3 matches with 3 for 26 against CSK being his best efforts in the tournament so far. Shami also has 7 wickets from 3 matches but Rabada has a superior average and economy than the KXIP speedster. Sam Curran (Chennai Super Kings), Yuzvendra Chahal (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Trent Boult (Mumbai Indians) and Sheldon Cottrell (Kings XI Punjab) are tied on 5 wickets. "I don't know (about his ability to keep taking the purple cap).
