IPL 2020, Points Table: MI Leapfrog DC To Reclaim Pole Position After 10-Wicket Win Over CSK

MI's seventh win in ten games of the ongoing thirteenth edition of the IPL meant they reclaimed the pole position from Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 points table. With seven wins and fourteen points in the bank, MI have drawn level with Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore but stand at top of the points table owing to a superior run rate.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians trounced Chennai Super Kings by 10 wickets in IPL 2020 encounter played at Sharjah and inched one step closer to a sure shot play off berth. Mumbai Indians also proved to be the nemesis of their long rivals Chennai Super Kings as they ended their hopes of making it to the play-offs for a record extending ninth season. Delhi Capitals would again have a chance to get back their number one position when they face Kolkata Knight Riders later in the evening in Match 42 of the IPL at Abu Dhabi. Kolkata Knight Riders who have 5 points from their 10 outings are very much in contention to qualify for the play-offs. KKR slipped up a bit after losing their last encounter to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Punjab have found a winning mojo at the backend of the tournament after being on the brink of elimination losing six of their first seven games It is a uphill task for Rajasthan Royals to make it to the playoffs after losing seven of their eleven games. A loss in their next encounter will see the 'Pink Army' getting eliminated form the play-off race.
