IPL 2020, Points Table: Mumbai Indians Reclaim Pole Position With Dominant 8-Wicket Win Over KKR

Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) continued their winning juggernaut in the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE with a clinical 8-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Abu Dhabi. Mumbai Indians dominant victory came on the back of a splendid display of bowling which restricted KKR to 148 coupled with a quick-fire half ton by their Proteas opener Quinton De Kock. MI's sixth win of the season helped them leapfrog Delhi Capitals and move to the top of the points table once again in the 13th edition of the IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders who were handed their fourth loss of the season by Mumbai Indians, remain at the fourth spot on the points table with eight points. Meanwhile KKR's loss to MI would certainly enhance the chances of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings to stake a claim into the knockouts as all these teams are not too far behind with six points each in their kitty. Sixth-place Rajasthan Royals have a great opportunity to get into the top half of the points table as they lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore later in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a win for third-placed RCB will take them a step closer to securing a play-off berth. RCB retained their third position despite a loss to bottom placed Kings Eleven Punjab in their last encounter. 3-time Chennai Super Kings will look to continue with their resurgence as they eye an upset win over in-form Delhi Capitals in the second game of the double header later in the evening. If Delhi Capitals go onto win against CSK, it will virtually put them on the brink of a play-off berth
