IPL 10: Warner powers Sunrisers Hyderabad to 159/6

Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 159 for six in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kings XI Punjab here tonight.


Skipper David Warner top-sored for the home side with a 54-ball 70, while Naman Ojha contributed 34 off 20 balls at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.


Sent into bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad were off to a slow start with openers Warner and Shikhar Dhawan managing only 25 runs in five overs.


Warner and Ojha then gave the innings momentum, adding 60 runs for the fourth wicket in six overs.


Warner hit seven boundaries and two six during his stay in the middle.


For Kings XI Punjab, Mohit Sharma and Axar Patel were the most successful bowlers, returning figures of 2/25 and 2/33 respectively.


Sunrisers handed Afghanistan's Mohammed Nabi IPL debut.
