IPL 10 Final: Mumbai Indians opt to bat first against Rising Pune Supergiant
New Delhi: Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bat first in the all important final of IPL 10 against Rising Pune Supergiant in Hyderabad.
There were no changes in both the sides, which means there is no place for Harbhajan Singh or Nitish Rana in the Mumbai Indians playing XI.
Supergiant captain Steve Smith also wanted to bat first as he believed the pitch might slow down during the latter part of the innings.
Pune has beaten Mumbai in all the three meetings this year but both the captains have played down the head-to-head scenario, terming the final as a different ball game altogether. Mumbai is chasing a record third IPL title, while Pune will look to end their small IPL stint on an ultimate high by winning the coveted title for the first time.
