The first two days of India vs West Indies 1st Test in Dominicia's Windsor Park totally belonged to Rohit Sharma-led team India. The Indian skipper showed tenacity and fortitude in dealing with the West Indies bowling attack. He and Yashasvi Jaiswal together built a solid partnership of more than 200 runs for the first wicket.

In the first session of Day 2, Rohit batted meticulously to keep the scoreboard moving, punished slack deliveries by hitting boundaries at regular intervals. This was Rohit's second century in a Test match away from home. During his patient knock, he hit two sixes and ten fours.
