IND vs WI: India Never Loses A Test Match When This Star Scores A Century

Team India have an unblemished record of victory whenever Rohit scores a Test century, and they'll try to keep it intact by the end of India vs West Test series as well.

The first two days of India vs West Indies 1st Test in Dominicia's Windsor Park totally belonged to Rohit Sharma-led team India. The opening day saw senior opener Rohit Sharma (103) bringing up the tenth century of his Test career. Rohit's magnificent ton gave the visitors a commanding advantage over West Indies bowlers. The 36-year-old appeared to be in complete control of his batting and reached the three figures in 220 balls by hitting a boundary. The Indian skipper showed tenacity and fortitude in dealing with the West Indies bowling attack. He and Yashasvi Jaiswal together built a solid partnership of more than 200 runs for the first wicket.

In the first session of Day 2, Rohit batted meticulously to keep the scoreboard moving, punished slack deliveries by hitting boundaries at regular intervals. This was Rohit's second century in a Test match away from home. During his patient knock, he hit two sixes and ten fours.

Intriguingly, team India have an unblemished record of victory whenever Rohit scores a Test century, and they'll try to keep it intact by the end of India vs West Test series as well, continuing their dominance in the Caribbean islands. Whenever Rohit scored a Test ton, India never lost that match.

Along with Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal also blasted a century to announce his grand arrival into the international cricketing arena. The duo became the sixth Indian opening tandem in away Tests to record hundreds in the same inning.

When batting at 103, Rohit gloved the ball in the air and ended up giving wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva a catch. Day 2 was also completely dominated by the visitors as West Indies bowlers got off to a poor start and managed to only bag 2 wickets in the entire day. With the stage all set for India's star-studded lineup and looking back to India’s hundred percent winning percentage after Sharma scores a century, fans are hopeful that results will go in their favour this time as well.
