Australia star batter Steve Smith is a super passionate batter who likes to indulge himself in long net practice sessions, and even when he is off-the-field, he practices shadow batting in his hotel room for hours -- he loves it as much as being at the crease in a match. Many believe that Smith's unmatched dedication and passion for the sport helps him bat for longer periods in international matches, especially in Test cricket. Smith, one of the greatest batters in history of Test cricket, is gearing up for IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023 clash, starting from June 7 at Kennington Oval.

Smith celebrated his birthday on June 2. Just days ahead of the WTC Final, ICC conducted a fun activity with the Australian players, asking them what was the worst present they could give Steve Smith and everyone had nearly the same answer.

"I feel like it's going to be said a lot, no batting for a week," all-rounder Mitchell Marsh revealed.

"Get him something from Kmart," Labuschagne said when Usman Khawaja was replying to the worst gift question.

"No batting for a day," Matthew Renshaw said.

"You're probably right, if he wasn't allowed to hit balls today, he would have a bad birthday," Starc agreed with his teammates.

"Probably a day off cricket training," Scott Boland said.

When Smith was asked the same question, he said,"Probably, Marnus, he would get me something stupid I reckon."
