Suryakumar Yadav 100 T20l Sixes Record: Team India's star Suryakumar Yadav, also known as 'Mr 360', batted superbly in India vs West Indies 3rd T20I on Tuesday (August 8) in Guyana. Chasing the target of 160 runs in a tense must-win game, Yadav thrashed the Caribbean bowlers all over the park to score 83 runs off 44 balls (10 fours and 4 sixes) and played a key role in his team's seven-wicket win over West Indies. This was Suryakuamr's 14th half-century innings of his T20 international career. He may have missed out on his fourth T20I century but still managed to break the 'six-hitting' record of senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Suryakumar Yadav has become the fastest Indian player to hit 100 sixes in T20 International cricket. He achieved this milestone in just 51 T20Is matches. Team India's all-format skipper Rohit Sharma and icon Virat Kohli, who aren't part of the ongoing India vs West Indies 5-match T20Is and haven't played a single T20I match for India since last year's T20 World Cup in Australia, completes 100 T20 sixes in 92 (Rohit) and 104 (Virat) T20 International matches, respectively.
In the overall list, Suryakumar became only the third Indian batter after Virat and Rohit to hit 100 sixes in T20Is. Rohit Sharma still holds the record of 'maximum sixes in T20Is by an Indian'. He has so far hit 82 sixes, whereas Virat has hit117 sixes so far. Suryakumar now has 101 sixes to his name in T20Is .
