IND vs SL: Harbhajan Singh Voices Dissatisfaction Over Team India's Selection For Sri Lanka Tour. Check Viral Post

Harbhajan Singh took to X to express his displeasure over the non-selection of Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Yuzvendra Chahal for Sri Lanka tour.

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh expressed his dissatisfaction with Team India's selection for the IND vs SL white-ball series (ODIs and T20Is).

India's tour to Sri Lanka will be newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir's first assignment with the national team. On Thursday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squads for both formats.

Suryakumar Yadav, the top-ranked T20I batter, was chosen over Hardik Pandya for the T20I captaincy. Meanwhile, T20 World Cup winner Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the national team in ODIs.

2011 World Cup winner Harbhajan Singh took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday (July 20) to express his displeasure over the non-selection of Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Yuzvendra Chahal for Sri Lanka tour.

"Hard to understand why Yuzvendra Chahal, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson are not part of the Indian Team for Sri Lanka," Harbhajan wrote on X.

Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma delivered impressive performances in T20Is vs Zimbabwe, with Abhishek notably scoring a brilliant century in the 2nd T20I. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was part of the T20 World Cup squad, was also dropped for the Sri Lanka tour.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson was named only in the T20 squad for Sri Lanka series and not included in the ODIs, as Rishabh Pant has been recalled after his comeback to the Indian team in the T20 World Cup, last month.

Team India will play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against Sri Lanka. IND vs SL T20I series will be played first, followed by the ODI series. Senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will participate in the ODI series, despite earlier speculations that they might be given a rest.
