IND vs ENG: This Bowler Will Not Be Part Of Team India In 2nd Test, Confirms Captain Kohli

India vs England 2nd Test: Shardul Thakur, who took four wickets in the first Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, has been removed from the Lord's Test.

New Delhi: The Second Test between India and England will be played tomorrow at Lord's. Just before that, Team India went through a major setback. Shardul Thakur, who took two wickets in both innings of the first Test, has been dropped from the Second Test. At a press conference, Skipper Virat Kohli confirmed Thakur's exit from the Lord's Test. 

The first Test was played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, where Thakur took Joe Root's and Jos Buttler's wickets. Due to a hamstring injury, he will not be part of Team India in the second Test. 

At a press conference before the Lord's Test match, Virat Kohli said, "Shardul Thakur has a muscle strain on his left leg, which will not allow him to play in the Second Test at Lord's. However, he will return in the third Test." 

However, Virat Kohli has made it clear that he will take on four fast bowlers at Lord's. "We would like to have four fast bowlers from our team on XI at Lord's as well," he said. Because of the unforeseen situation." It means that , Ishant Sharma or Umesh Yadav may get a chance to replace Shardul Thakur in the second Test. 

To recall , First Test between India and England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham was a draw due to rain. However, India's victory in the first Test seemed certain, since India had to score just 157 runs with 9 wickets remaining to win on the final day. On the last day without a single ball being played , match was declared a draw due to rain .
