IND vs ENG 1st Test Score Highlights: At Stumps On Day 1, India Trail By 162 Runs

Background

Nottingham: The Trent Bridge is India's happy hunting ground as the last time India visited England - in 2018 - on a forgettable 4-1 tour, Trent Bridge was the only ground where India was able to save some honour.

The 5-match Test series starts from Nottingham this time. India will be aiming for a series win as it's been more than 14 years that India won a Test series in England. The last time India had won a Test series in England, was way back in 2007 when Rahul Dravid was the captain.

Nonetheless, Virat Kohli's men have the best chance of winning the series, according to many cricket experts as England are without 3-4 top players like Jofra Archer, Chris Woakes and also, Ben Stokes who has taken a break from international cricket.

Pitch Report

The Trent Bridge pitch has traditionally been a dry one. Even though most matches played here are played under cloudy conditions, the batting side almost every time has the upper hand. The captain winning the toss would look to bat first.

Weather Report

The weather in Nottingham is expected to be cloudy on Day 1. The sun will be out on Wednesday, but all the following days are expected to experience some rainfall in Nottingham as per AccuweatherIt looks like the first Test match is going to be a 'start-stop' affair.
