IND Vs BAN, 2nd T20I: Nitish Reddy's Maiden T20I Fifty Inspires Hosts To Series Win

India Beat Bangladesh: India have defeated Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I to seal the series 2-0. Read below for details.

India Beat Bangladesh: India's jugeernaut in T20I's does not take a stopping as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side register an emphatic 86-run over Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With the win, Gautam Gambhir bags in yet another series as India's head coach and stands a chance of sealing another whitewash.

The match started on a tough note for hosts, as they were reduced to 41/3 but a brilliant 108-run stand between Rinku Singh and Nitish Reddy guided them out of trouble, as the latter produced a brilliant Player of the Match by scoring 74 off 34, and picking up two wickets.

"Feels very great representing India. Feels so proud of this moment and I want to live in the moment. I have to give credit to the captain and the coach. They asked me to play with the same freedom as I do in the IPL. They gave me the license to play freely. That no ball came at the right time and it helped me get the momentum. It feels very great. This is the first time I have been part of the Indian cricket team. I want to continue playing for the team and show promise and keep contributing," said Nitish Kumar Reddy during the post-match presentation ceremony.

Suryakumar Yadav Reflects On India's Dominant Win

Suryakumar Yadav could not do his bit with the bat tonight but managed to produce a masterclass in bowling changes as India outclassed Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I. Speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, the Indian skipper added that he asked his players go out there and 'express themselves'.

"You can say that. At the same time, I wanted us to be in such a position. I wanted our number 4 and 5 to come out to bat in that precarious situation. Happy for Rinku and Nitish. They batted exactly how we wanted to be. Absolutely, the message has been loud and clear. We have asked them to express themselves. Just need to go out and bat as they do in the nets, practice sessions and in domestic games. Just the jersey changes, rest remaining remains the same," said Surya.

"No! Only in the last over. I wanted to see what different bowlers can do, especially in games where we're defending 170-175. So, I used many bowlers without Hardik. Sometimes Hardik doesn't bowl, and sometimes Washington Sundar doesn't. I wanted to see what the other guys had in store, really happy with it. It was Nitish's day, so I wanted to give him a chance," he added.
