IND vs AUS: India can still win the Test series, believes Sourav Ganguly

India succumbed to a 146-run defeat at the hands of hosts Australia in the second Test after winning the first rubber by 31 runs in Adelaide

India began their 4-match Test series Down Under with a magnificent victory in Adelaide. However, they committed a few mistakes in Perth and gave chance to the Aussies to equalise the series. While the visitors are pulling up their socks for the next face-off in Melbourne, former captain Sourav Ganguly believes that India still have a chance to win the rubber.

"India can still win, it depends on how they play. All in the eleven have to take up responsibility. Everybody has to play well," Ganguly said during a promotional programme at a school here.

India succumbed to a 146-run defeat at the hands of hosts Australia in the second Test after winning the first rubber by 31 runs in Adelaide.

India's batting, except for the duo of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara, have come a cropper and Ganguly urged the middle-order to take up more responsibility.

While interacting with the students, Ganguly was asked what was the difference between now and his childhood days and the cricketer-turned-administrator said, “When I was a child, my father used to earn, I would spend a good time. Now I've to earn.”

It was also announced that Sourav Ganguly International School will come up in Siliguri in March 2020.
