Virat-Kohli led Indian team is all set to take on a formidable Australian team in their backyard in an all-format bilateral series which commences in just over a week with the first ODI scheduled to be played on November 27. The Indian playing contingent which is currently undergoing their 14-day quarantine period post landing in Australia, are making the most of the training facilities made available to them by Cricket Australia amid the bio secure bubble. With batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and KL Rahul already taking to the nets to fine tune their techniques on the pacy and bouncy strips of Australia, the ever dependable middle-order lynch-pin Cheteshwar Pujara was spotted getting his act together with the willow in a net practice session. BCCI posted a video of the perennial workhorse Pujara playing his trademark defensive shots while facing the Indian seam bowlers in the nets. The BCCI also gave out a stern message to the Indian bowling unit, stating that the bowlers should be prepared for the long workout against the 'Aussies' in the 4-match Test series. Pujara Was Hero With The Bat In India's Historic Series Win Against Australia In Their Backyard Pujara's form in the middle order will be key to how India fares against a power-packed bowling attack in the 4-match Test series, with the series opener begining on December 17 in Adelaide. Pujara played a pivotal role with the willow in India's historic series win against the Australians, last time they played them 'Down Under' in 2018-19. The technically sound No. 3 batsman was awarded the Player of the series as he notched up 521 runs at a staggering average of 74.43 including 3 game changing hundreds in just 7 innings. With Virat Kohli set to miss a bulk of the Test series, the batting form of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinjya Rahane will be crucial to how India fares in the Test series against a competitive Australian team
