IND vs AUS A, 2nd Warm-Up Game: India Wins Toss, Elect To Bat First At SCG
IND vs AUS A Toss Update: Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and choose to bat first against Carey-led AUS A team at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.
Indian team will bat first against Australia A in the second warm game being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and choose to bat first against Carey-led Australia A team at the SCG.
While Rahane will lead for a second time in the warm up games, wicket-keeper batsman Alex Carey will be captaining the Australian A team after Travis Head skippered the hosts in the first warm up game.
Seasoned Indian skipper Virat Kohli has ruled himself out of the pink ball warm up game ahead of the 4-match Test series opener at Adelaide Oval, beginning Dec 17.
Team Update
India
India have gone in with Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal to open the batting. In the absence of Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane will have to spearhead the middle order in the company of Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari. Both wicket-keepers Rishabh Pant(w), Wriddhiman Saha have been given a look in the Playing XI.
Australia A
Australia A team includes the likes of Joe Burns, Marcus Harris, Cameron Green and Mitchell Swepson, all of whom will be in contention for a place in the Playing XI for the first Test at Adelaide.

The warm up game being played with the Pink Ball is set to serve as a practice match for the Indian cricketers ahead of the 4-match series opener against Australia scheduled to commence at the Adelaide Oval from Dec 17.
India are locking horns with Australia in a 4-match Test series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy, starting Dec 17. While the series opener will be played at the Adelaide Oval, the second Test will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from Dec 26. SCG and the GABBA at Brisbane will host the 3rd and 4th game of the series respectively.
