ICC Test Rankings: Prithvi, Umesh, Pant shine, Kohli remains on top
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has maintained his legacy, holding the first position with his career-best rating – 935 points
The aftermath of India’s 2-0 victory over West Indies in the Test series saw a few youngsters making a mark in the latest ICC rankings. Debutant Prithvi Shaw, who already made on the list with his blistering 134-knock in Rajkot, has climbed to the 60th spot after the conclusion of the series.
After scoring 70 and 33* in Hyderabad, Shaw made a leap of 13 places to get the 60th spot with 465 points. On the other hand, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant moved up 23 spots to No.62 with 459 points after getting dismissed for 92 in his last two innings.
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has maintained his legacy, holding the first position with his career-best rating – 935 points.
The wrecker-in-chief of the Hyderabad Test, Umesh Yadav, raised four places and got to No.25 with 613 points, his career-best. He picked up a 10-wicket haul which was also his career best bowling figures in red-ball cricket.
Despite facing a humiliating defeat, West Indies skipper Jason Holder has entered in the top 10 Test bowlers list. Credit goes to his 5-wicket haul in Hyderabad which helped him grabbing the 9th position with a career-high 766 points.
Meanwhile, Roston Chase, who scored 53 and 20 in the first Test and 106 and 6 in the second, climbed 10 places up to the 31st position.
