New Zealand vs Pakistan: During a hilarious incident, a fan ran away with the ball after it landed outside the stadium post a massive six from Fakhar Zaman off Ben Smears.

New Zealand vs Pakistan: New Zealand beat Pakistan by 21 runs in the second T20I of the five-match series at the Seddon Park, Hamilton on Sunday (January 14). While it was an entertaining game of cricket for the fans which the hosts ultimately won, there was a hilarous moment on the cricket field that left the fans in splits. A fan ran away with the ball after Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman smashed a six outside the stadium in the sixth over of the run chase.

The incident unfolded in the last ball of the over when Zaman hit Ben Smears for a big six that went over the deep square leg fence. Such brilliant was the connection that the ball easily cleared the stadium and ended up landing on the road outside the stadium. It was here that a spectator picked up the ball and ran away with it. Even those on air during the broadcast were left into splits as a new ball had to be brought in for the match.

A video of the incident has surfaced on social media:

Adam Milne was wrecker-in-chief for the Kiwis and finished with figures of 4/33 in his four overs while Ben Sears and Tim Southee scalped  two wickets apiece to play a key role in Kiwi's 21-run victory. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf (3/38) and Abbas Afridi (2/43) who were the stand out performers with the ball but they had to end up on the losing side. A Blackcaps' victory means the hosts have taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
