Dinesh Karthik Becomes Father To Twin Boys, Cricketer Says 'And Just Like That 3 Became 5'

New Delhi: Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has been blessed with two baby boys on Thursday. The cricketer took to social media and said that he and his wife Dipika Pallikal, who is also a celebrated squash player, were blessed with twin boys.

"And just like that 3 became 5," Karthik wrote on Twitter and shared pictures of the newborns.

"Dipika and I have been blessed with two beautiful baby boys. And we could not be happier," he added. Pallikal also posted photos of herself, Karthik and their baby boys on social media.

In the post, Karthik also revealed the names of their baby boys - Kabir Pallikal Karthik and Zian Pallikal Karthik.

Meanwhile, Dipika also made the announcement on her Twitter account with images of her along with Karthik and the newborns.

Karthik was recently in UAE to commentate during T20 World Cup 2021. However, his recent post suggests that he is back to India for his wife's delivery.

Dinesh and Dipika had tied the knot in 2013. 

Taking about his career in international cricket, Karthik has played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 32 T20Is for India. He has also represented Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021.
