Dhruv Jurel spent the first two IND vs ENG Tests on the sidelines as the experienced KS Bharat was unsurprisingly given the nod ahead of him. Leading up to the third Test, there is speculation that India might opt to drop Bharat due to his recent struggles with the bat. During India's training session in Rajkot on Tuesday, visuals showcased an intense wicket-keeping session for Jurel, with skipper Rohit Sharma closely monitoring his performance.
Jurel's Cricket Journey Powered By His Family's Sacrifices
Dhruv Jurel's journey in cricket has been marked by his family's sacrifices and his personal dedication to the sport. His mother sold her gold chain to afford his cricket kit, and initially, his father, a Kargil war veteran, was opposed to his involvement in sports.
Over time, Jurel's father became a strong supporter, turning into a pillar of encouragement for him. Making his debut in the Ranji Trophy during the 2022 season against Vidarbha, Jurel established himself as a reliable middle-order batsman, showcasing his resilience and commitment to the sport.
