CONFIRMED! Jasprit Bumrah To Marry This TV Presenter Over The Weekend In Goa

The fast-bowler is reportedly getting married on 14th or 15th March in a small ceremony in Goa. Sanjana Ganesan, the Star Sports anchor to be his bride.

Jasprit Bumrah is expected to marry cricket presenter Sanjana Ganesan on the upcoming weekend in Goa. The date couldn’t be confirmed but the marriage is set to take place either on 14^th or 15^th March 2021. Even though both Bumrah and Sanjana didn’t confirm the news, social media was full of posts about the marriage of the couple. Sanjana is on leave as confirmed by the sources, but her schedule is still unknown. The news was confirmed by IANS.

Bumrah had asked for a leave from the rest of the England tour due to “personal reasons”. However, it was not confirmed as there was nothing heard from the cricketer himself on the matter. But a BCCI source told ANI, "He informed the BCCI that he is getting married and has taken the leave to help in preparations for the big day.” Bumrah will also miss the entire T20I and ODI series against England starting March 12.

According to some sources, Bumrah is travelling to Goa via Mumbai with his mother for the marriage. Some sources close to the Bumrahs also confirmed that only 20 guests from either side would be present at the wedding ceremony of the cricketer which will strictly have a ‘no phone policy’.

As the pandemic restrictions are still in place and all the cricketers present in bio-bubble during the on-going cricket matches, none of Bumrah’s teammates would be attending the wedding. It is being said that cricketers and other BCCI officials will attend a reception ceremony on a different date.  Bumrah was born and brought up in Ahmedabad. After the death of their father, he and his sister were raised by their mother. The fast bowler studied and first took up cricket under the coaching of Kishore Trivedi where his mother was the vice-principal of Nirman Public School.

Sanjana, on the other hand has been a cricket presenter for Star Sports and other channels. She also is a big KKR fan and has also done a show featuring the inside of KKR dressing room.
