The opening day of the practice match between India and Australia in Canberra, today (November 30, was washed out due to rain. However, the teams are set to play a 50-over per side match tomorrow (December 1). All eyes will be on whether Shubman Gill participates in the game, as fans eagerly await his return to action.

IND vs AUS 2nd Test, a day-night (pink-ball) match, is set to take place in Adelaide from December 6. Shubman Gill, who missed the Perth Test due to a thumb injury, has returned to practice and is expected to be available for selection in playing XI. He faced Yash Dayal and Akash Deep in the nets, indicating his readiness for Adelaide clash.

There's speculation that Gill might be asked to bat into the middle order rather than the usual opening position. With KL Rahul scoring ton at the top in Rohit Sharma's absence, the likely combination could see Rohit and Yashasvi Jaiswal opening, Rahul moving to number three, and Gill taking the number five spot with Virat Kohli at number 4.

After winning the BGT series opener, India have a 1-0 lead in five-Test series.
