Pakistan Agrees To Hybrid Model For Champions Trophy 2025, But Sets One Condition: Report
Pakistan Cricket Board is reportedly willing to accept a Hybrid Model for 2025 Champions Trophy and play India in Dubai.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly agreed to a Hybrid Model for 2025 Champions Trophy, where India would play its matches at a neutral venue, most likely the UAE.
However, this agreement is conditional on the International Cricket Council (ICC) implementing the same approach for all its events until 2031, according to a PCB source speaking to PTI.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are in conflict over 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
While PCB wants to host all matches on its home soil, India, refusing to travel to Pakistan for the event, proposes a hybrid model where their matches would be played at a neutral venue. Despite multiple assurances from PCB, BCCI remains adamant about prioritizing the safety of its players and is unwilling to take the risk.

ICC's ultimatum to Pakistan Cricket Board
Earlier it was reported that in a recent meeting, ICC discussed hybrid model for Champions Trophy 2025, with all cricket boards, except for Pakistan, supporting the proposal. PCB reiterated its stance that it wants to host CT 2025 only in Pakistan.
Reports indicate that if Pakistan continues to reject the hybrid model, Champions Trophy 2025 tournament may proceed without their involvement, potentially leading to major financial losses for the country. Due to ongoing deadlock, ICC has yet to announce the official schedule for Champions Trophy 2025.

If the PCB officially agrees to the hybrid model, it is highly likely that India's matches in the Champions Trophy will be held in UAE.
