India's Squad For Tours of South Africa & Australia: Indian Cricket Team is all set for an action-packed winter session of cricket, as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have officially announced the T20I squad for tour of South Africa, and Test squad for the all-iconic Border-Gavaskar Trophy set to be played in a five-match series against Australia.

The squad for the Tour Down Under will be led by Rohit Sharma, alongside vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah. In terms of proper batters, the squad features Abhimanyu Easwaran, who has received his first major call-up after being called up as an unused backup during last year's tour of South Africa. Alongside the young sensation, the squad features main players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli.

Coming to the first-choice wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant will be the undisputed starter, and the other keepers in the squad are KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, and Dhruv Jurel.

The fast-bowling department consists of Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana.

Washington Sundar gets rewarded for his excellent form in red-ball cricket and will be travelling to Australia.

India’s squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy:

Rohit Sharma (C), Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (WK), Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (WK), R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar.

No Place For Ruturaj Gaikwad In BGT Squad

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been performing well across all forms of cricket from past few years, and has been hailed as the next big thing by many greats, including the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

However, the CSK captain has found himself out-of-favour across all formats and when it looked like the opener might get a cut seeing the exclusion of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara from the national set-up, BCCI instead, opted for an uncapped Abhimanyu Easwaran.
