When Bhogale asked about how was the captaincy stint and how does he look at it, he said that, “It was a phase but now it’s over. I enjoyed it but it’s in the history now so let’s focus ahead on winning games.”
He also said that he was tired but ‘in a good way’ after the five month long Australia tour and feels happy to be back home. Rahane was the stand-in captain after Virat Kohli had to leave the team after the first Test against Australia. Rahane relished the opportunity and lead India to two victories to register a historic win down-under.
Currently, Rahane is in quarantine before the start of the next Test match against England in Chennai. He was seen having fun with his daughter in a video posted by his wife.
