This is India's fourth gold medal of the day and 17th overall in Birmingham. After Nikhat's gold win, India has moved past New Zealand to the fourth position in the overall medal tally. Star Indian boxer Amit Panghal avenged his previous CWG edition's final loss in the men's flyweight category to win gold, while Neetu Ghanghas dominated in her CWG debut to claim gold. Panghal (48-51kg) had lost four years ago to his English rival in the Gold Coast, but this time the 26-year-old avenged his loss by beating England's McDonald Kieran 5-0.
