Barca rout Madrid 3-0 in La Liga

Madrid [Spain], December 23 (ANI): Barcelona scored three goals in the second half to extend their lead over Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, here at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday.

The three goals of the day came from Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Aleix Vidal to give Barcelona a 14 point lead over bitter rivals and defending champions Real Madrid.

Barcelona's 3-0 win marked their third consecutive league match victory at the Bernabeu, a feat that has been never achieved before by any club.

The scoreboard was 0-0 in the first half of the game until Luis Suarez scored the first goal of the day and for the side in the 54th minute.

The lead was doubled 10 minutes later from the penalty spot, with Messi doing the honours.

In the 90th minute, Messi skipped past Marcelo Vieira to cut it back to Aleix Vidal who put it in the nets to give the team their third goal.(ANI)
