Anand Mahindra To Gift THAR To Each Debutant From Team India During The Australia Tour

Anand Mahindra tweets that he will gift Mohammad Siraj, T Natarajan, Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, Shubman Gill and Navdeep Saini brand new Thar SUVs after the historic win.

New Delhi: Chairman of Mahindra Ground, Anand Mahindra tweets that he will be gifting Thar SUV to the 6 debutants who played during the Australia tour while congratulating them for winning a miraculous series . He praises them for their inspiring hardwork against all odds to reach for excellence. He begins by saying that the six young men 'have made it possible for future generation of India to dream & explore the impossible'. Referring to Mohammad Siraj, T Natarajan, Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, Shubman Gill and Navdeep Saini he said that the gift is a way to 'exhort youngsters to believe in themselves & take the road less traveled.'

Mahindra is known for his generous gifts to sportspersons. Earlier, he gifted an TUV 300 to Kidambi Srikanth after winning a Super Series Title in 2017.

Team India notched a historic Test series win by defeating Australia by three wickets in the fourth and final Test at The Gabba, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express his jubilance on the occasion saying that the entire nation is overjoyed at the success of Ajinkya Rahane-led side who showed remarkable energy and passion throughout the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Youngsters like Mohammad Siraj, T Natarajan, Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, Shubman Gill and Navdeep Saini, proved their mettle on the Australian tour, and played a huge role in India's 2-1 Test victory.
