Asia Cup 2022 Schedule Released. Know When India Will Face Arch-Rivals Pakistan

Asia Cup 2022 Schedule: Asia Cup 2022 will start on 27th August and the final will be played on 11th September. Team India will face arch-rivals Pakistan on 28th August. 

Asia Cup 2022: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Tuesday took to Twitter to release the official schedule of Asia Cup 2022. As per the schedule, the tournament will start on 27th August and the final will be played on 11th September. Rohit Sharma-led India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match on 28th August. Shah, in his tweet, also said that the much-awaited Asia Cup will serve as ideal preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup, set to be played later this year in Australia.

"The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will serve as ideal preparation ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup," Shah wrote on Twitter.

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan plus a team through qualifiers will be part of the Asia Cup 2022. Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) is hosting this year's Asia Cup 2022, but the tournament will be played in the UAE. Asia Cricket Council (ACC) has chosen Dubai and Sharjah for this tournament, where a total of 13 matches, including the final, are to be played in a span of 16 days.

Indian team will face Pakistan in Dubai on August 28. India's second match will be with the qualifier team in Dubai on 31st August. India has Pakistan and a qualifier team in the group stage. India have Pakistan and qualifier team in the group, while Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in the second group.
