Saubhagya Sundari Teej Vrat 2024: The month of November 2024 is filled with several significant festivals and observances, including Saubhagya Sundari Teej, particularly celebrated in Northern India. According to the Panchang, Saubhagya Sundari Teej falls on the Tritiya Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the Margashirsha month.  

Also known as Saubhagya Sundari Vrat, on this day, women observe a fast and worship Goddess Parvati to pray for their family’s prosperity and well-being. In 2024, Saubhagya Sundari Teej will be observed on Monday, November 18.

Saubhagya Sundari Vrat 2024 Significance

According to astrologers, observing the Saubhagya Sundari Vrat brings happiness and harmony to married life and bestows good fortune. This fast also reduces the impact of Manglik Dosha in the horoscope. Unmarried girls facing delays or obstacles in marriage can also observe this vrat to overcome such challenges and seek favorable results for matrimony.

Saubhagya Sundari Teej Puja Vidhi

  • On the day of Saubhagya Sundari Teej, women should wake up early, take a bath, and dress in new clothes. They adorn themselves with traditional bridal items such as mehndi, kumkum, alta, sindoor, and other ornaments associated with married women as part of their rituals and celebrations.
  • After this, perform the worship of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva together. Adorn Goddess Parvati with traditional items and offer her symbols of marital bliss as part of the ritual. Light incense and lamps during the puja. Additionally, on this day, it is essential to also worship Lord Ganesha to seek his blessings for prosperity and the removal of obstacles.
  • On the day of Saubhagya Sundari Vrat, many women observe a strict Nirjala fast, abstaining from food and water. However, some women opt to consume fruits after completing the puja.
