Do Not Do These Things On Kartik Purnima
- On Kartik Purnima, if someone comes to your door, do not send them away empty-handed. Additionally, refrain from speaking harsh words to the poor, needy, helpless, and the elderly on this day.
- Avoid insulting anyone on Kartik Purnima. Doing so angers the deities and brings about negativity.
- On Kartik Purnima, one should consume sattvic food and also observe Brahmacharya (celibacy).
- Kartik Purnima is a very auspicious day for giving donations, but one should avoid donating items like silver utensils or milk on this day. Doing so leads to Chandra Dosh (lunar afflictions) and can result in financial problems.
- Also, keep in mind that no room in the house should be dark on Kartik Purnima. If it is, Goddess Lakshmi will turn back from the doorway.
