Protests erupted in Jammu and Kashmir after a Kashmiri Pandit teacher was killed on May 31 outside the school where she taught. (PTI)

36-year-old Rajni Bala was a resident of the Samba district and posted at a government school in Jammu. (PTI)

She was shot at by terrorists on Monday and later succumbed to her injuries while being taken to hospital. (PTI)

Rajni Bala’s demise was followed by Bank Manager Vijay Kumar on June 2 which has led the minorities under fear in the valley forcing many of them to migrate. (PTI)

"There have been 22 killings of Hindus by terrorists in the Valley and over 14 people have been injured. Four temples have been attacked. This is an undeclared assault on minorities in Kashmir and the government is saying that the situation is normal," Kashmiri Pandit leader Vinood Tickoo said. (PTI)

In the past 21 days, as many as 7 cases of targeted killings have been reported from J&K. (PTI)

In the last six months, nearly 16 cases of targeted killing have been reported from the valley including women, government officers, police officers, and other minorities. (PTI)

After these deaths, the minorities have come to the streets to protest against the government demanding safety. (PTI)

Since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the President’s rule has been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir. (PTI)
