At the 2023 Padma Awards on Wednesday at Rashtrapati Bhavan, former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna received India's second-highest civilian honor, the Padma Vibhushan. The 90-year-old was at Rashtrapati Bhavan to accept the award. He was seen walking up to the podium with the assistance of a walking stick to accept it from President Droupadi Murmu. Between the years 1999 and 2004, Krishna was the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Between 2004 and 2008, he was also the Governor of Maharashtra.
