Volkswagen Taigun SUV First Anniversary Edition: Specs And Other Details — IN PICS

The Taigun from Volkswagen has completed one year of being on sale and to celebrate this, the car-maker has launched a special edition with many changes.

Taigun First Anniversary Edition comes in three colours: Rising Blue, Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red.

The Taigun till now has received over 40,000 customer orders while over 22,000 cars have been delivered. In terms of the driving experience, the Taigun remains the most fun and the most powerful SUV in its class with the 1.5 TSI and the driving experience which Volkswagen had laid out for us, gave us the opportunity to experience the acceleration and the handling of the Taigun. These changes include high lux fog lamps, body-colored door garnish, black C-pillar graphics, black roof foil, door-edge protector, black mirrors, window visors along with aluminum pedals. (Source: Somnath Chatterjee)

The engine options continue to be the same as before with a 1.0L TSI engine with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.0 TSI develops 115PS and a peak torque of 178 Nm@1750-4500 rpm. Whereas the 1.5L TSI EVO engine comes with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG transmission option. (Source: Somnath Chatterjee)
