Following RBI's announcement of the withdrawal of Rs 2,000 notes, a meme fest has been triggered on Twitter which has left the citizens in splits.

RBI's announcement regarding the withdrawal of Rs 2,000 currency notes from the Indian market has generated a lot of buzz. In an announcement, RBI said that it is going to withdraw all Rs 2,000 currency notes from the market however, for now, it will continue to be a legal tender. Banks have issued notices stipulating the guidelines for smooth functioning while ensuring that people can get their Rs 2,000 notes exchanged timely. Now it's time for the best. All of us might have heard or seen our mothers hiding some cash in the kitchen or any other place for emergency purposes. Here's how they might be feeling now. 

The procedure of depositing and exchanging Rs 2,000 notes began on May 23. The RBI said that in order to avoid any disruption of regular activities of bank branches and ensure operational convenience, the exchange of Rs 2,000 notes could be made up to a limit of Rs 20,000 at a time at any bank. Banks have further clarified that people don't need to fill any form or submit any identity proof to deposit/exchange their Rs 2,000 notes up to Rs 20,000 at a time.
