YSRCP MLA Roja Meets CM Stalin To Discuss Plight Of Tamils Residing In Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: Nagari MLA RK Roja Selvamani and her husband met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin on Monday at the CM's office in Chennai.
She presented him a shawl with an image of Stalin on it. Afterward, Roja discussed the problems of Tamils living in Andhra Pradesh with the Tamil Nadu CM.
Speaking to the media after meeting the CM, she said that Tamil textbooks (matriculation syllabus) for students staying in Andhra Pradesh and studying in Tamil medium should be sanctioned at Rs 1,000 per class from classes 1-10.
She said the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation is setting up Kosalanagaram Industrial Park on about 5,800 acres. She had sent proposals to the Tamil Nadu CM seeking permission to construct an approach road from NH 716 on the Nedumbaram-Arakkonam road to reach the industrial park to accommodate industries from Tamil Nadu and heavy vehicle transport.

She said that there were more than one crore handloom and power loom workers, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.She urged to take steps to meet the world's textile needs by employing textile workers in South India.
Roja Selvamani said the proposal had been discussed with AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy in the past and asked the Tamil Nadu CM to take appropriate suggestions and act on it.
Tamil families living in the border areas of Andhra Pradesh have a lot of kinship and business dealings with the Chennai metropolis and major cities in Tamil Nadu. Roja asked Stalin to extend all the facilities available to Tamils in general hospitals in Tamil Nadu to Tamil families in Chittoor and Nellore districts.
Roja said the Tamil Nadu CM had assured him that the proposals brought to his notice would be thoroughly scrutinized and action would be taken.
